Development Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

The Development Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Development and works closely with the Development staff to coordinate activities related to individual giving, board relations, and database administration to support our annual fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of donor gifts into The Raiser’s Edge, at the direction of the Database Administrator
• Entering and updating donor data, correspondence, contacts, and address corrections into The Raiser’s Edge in an accurate and timely manner
• Producing queries, exports, lists, and import files assigned by the Database Administrator
• Providing research on donors and prospective donors using online databases, including LexisNexis, and preparing detailed profiles
• Assisting with mailings, including executing mail merges
• Responding to and/or routing donor inquiries
• Proofreading and drafting donor correspondence and acknowledgment letters 
• Assisting with preparation of proposals, reports, presentations and briefings
• Sourcing and ordering supplies as requested, and in advance of special projects
• Staffing fundraising events, which take place on evenings and weekends

• Scheduling and coordinating internal meetings
• Providing general administrative support to the development team

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree, required
• 2 years minimum relevant work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, a quick study on new computer programs
• Experience with The Raiser’s Edge and LexisNexis is preferred
• Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple projects at once
• Will assist others with professionalism, thoughtfulness, and a customer-oriented mindset
