Avenues for Justice (AFJ) continues its 45-year legacy of empowering justice-involved youth through innovative programs. Recent highlights include expanding OSHA-30 and construction safety certifications, with 44 participants certified this year, and the launch of a new Security training program, offering career pathways with strong job prospects. AFJ also introduced a culinary therapy workshop, "Food for Thought," in partnership with the Belafonte Family Foundation, blending cooking skills with emotional well-being for young adults. These initiatives reflect AFJ’s commitment to providing life-changing opportunities, reducing recidivism, and strengthening communities with impactful partnerships and hands-on learning.
