DSNY Issues Snow Alert for Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Beginning at 3:00 a.m.

The New York City Department of Sanitation has issued a Snow Alert effective from 3:00 am to 7:00 pm on February 13 due to expected snowfall of 5-8 inches. Sanitation Workers will salt streets and bike lanes before plowing begins at accumulations of 2 inches. Property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks within specified timeframes to ensure pedestrian safety, with fines for non-compliance. Trash/recycling collection will be temporarily suspended during snow operations, and alternate side parking regulations are canceled for February 13.
