Greenwich House is about to launch the 29th season of the Greenwich Village Girls Basketball League, which was founded around the idea of providing young girls an opportunity to build confidence, learn teamwork and develop resilience on and off the court.
The league is seeking sponsors to help expand access to economically disadvantaged families, provide the girls and families with team and community building special events, and rent additional practice and game space to accommodate more kids who want to play.
Over the summer the league lost a few sponsors and are now looking for two new "team sponsors" ($700 per team) which help keep registration costs down, pay for gym space, uniforms, etc.
